# MIP-24

### Summary

MIP-24 has been assigned to a proposal to better align contributor rewards with high-value map outputs through three key changes: (1) replacing image count with hex-based coverage as the atomic contribution unit, (2) supporting 24×7 mapping to expand data collection windows, and (3) using Upload Time instead of Collection Time to determine freshness (e.g. map tile saturation) for rewards.
