Bursts
On demand mapping
Overview
Burts is a tool for requesting on-demand and targeted mapping in a specific location from the Hivemapper Network.
If Hivemapper does not yet have coverage in a specific location or the coverage is not sufficiently fresh, one can pay a small fee to notify and request the network of mappers to provide coverage.
The before and after example below demonstrates how Bursted increased coverage of a neighborhood.
How it Works
Identify the locations you want Bursted
Hivemapper contributors are notified via the app of new Bursted locations in their area (gold icons)
If a Bursted location is mapped, one pays a small incremental fee.
How to Use Bursts
Today, Bursts are not yet self-serve and require direct engagement with the Hivemapper team. Please contact hi@hivemapper.com to deploy Bursts.
