Getting Started: Console
Console is where you can buy credits, access map data and track usage.
If you're a customer interested in accessing the world's freshest map data, Console is the place to go. This is a one-stop shop that offers all the core features that you will need to purchase, use, and track your usage of Hivemapper's data products.
Create an account
In the bottom left corner, click the "Sign In With Google" button.
Do not sign into the website with Google if you are contributing to the map with a dashcam or by completing AI Trainer tasks. Please connect a wallet instead. See here for details.
Buy Map Credits
To access products such as the Map Image API, you will need Map Credits. You can use the Console to buy Map Credits and track your balance of Map Credits. You can also use it to create and manage API Keys for using the Hivemapper data products, and to download a CSV file of all your product usage.
Map Credits cost $0.02 apiece, so $1 buys you 50 Map Credits. That bundle of 50 credits will buy 1 km worth of imagery from a single week, or 1 km of each class of Map Features for a week.
When using the Console to buy Map Credits, there is a minimum purchase of $10, or 500 Map Credits.
Get an API Key
To use Hivemapper APIs, you will need to generate an API key.
Go to the API Key tab
Select “Generate new unique API Key”
Copy the Username and API key
In your API call, add the base64 encoded username:APIKey
